As per the COVID restrictions lifting, the Stag Public House have jumped at the opportunity to support local musicians, by running a series of Seated Sunday Sessions in their Front Bar on Rundle Street.

“Supporting local has never been more important. So here at The Stag Public House we are planning to do this through live music as well as through the support of our local producers,” says Oliver, venue owner of NOLA and Stag Public House.

Throughout the recent COVID19 restrictions, live music venues and musicians have copped the rough end of the stick, with all paid work and income coming to a grinding halt.

Now venues have reopened, there’s no real reason not to host some live, local music, and the Stag is jumping at a chance to bring some warmth and music to the Front Bar.

All COVID health and safety regulations will be in place, with patrons only able to drink while seated, and areas permitted to 20 people.

“We are lucky enough to have multiple areas that can all hear and or watch where the music will be performed in the front bar. This means we will be able to bring back an almost normal live music experience,” Oliver says.

The Stag Public House have been busy running BIG EASY DRINKS, an initiative which brings drinks from the bar direct to people’s house. And now, with the beginning of restrictions being lifted in SA, many venues that house creatives are finding new ways to support the arts and in turn the hospitality industry will benefit.

Seated Sunday Sessions will run throughout the month of June, kicking off with the talented multi-instrumentation of Trav Collins. The following three Sundays will include local musicians who are just aching to get out and play some tunes.
