South Aussie singer-songwriter superstar Stellie announces first ever headline tour

23-year-old singer-songwriter Stellie has spent her career so far supporting big names like as Lime Cordiale and G Flip, but next month she’s walking into the spotlight.

The multiple SAM Award-winning performer is excited to be realising her dream of headlining a tour in this career milestone.

“To be honest, it’s a little overwhelming to think about at the moment, I’ve been waiting so long for this to finally happen, so I just want to make sure everything is perfect. But the excitement definitely outweighs this – it’s been a dream of mine to play a run of headline shows ever since I started releasing music, so now I’m just counting down the days,” she says.

The upcoming tour kicks off in Sydney in August with performances and will travel to Brisbane, Melbourne and finally back home to Adelaide.

“I’d be lying If I said I wasn’t looking forward to playing in Adelaide the most!” Stellie laughs. “There’s something special about playing in your hometown; plus it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy looking into a crowd of familiar faces. But in saying that, I haven’t really played many shows outside of Adelaide, so it will be so much fun interacting with crowds from different states.”

With over 1.5 million streams of her music, Stellie has a range of different songs to perform, with her latest single ‘Violet Girl’ being the title track to headline the tour.

“[Songs I love performing live] varies from show to show, I think – at the moment it’s probably ‘Bullet Through The Heart’, but I have a few newbies up my sleeve that are sounding really great. My latest single ‘Violet Girl’ is sounding pretty massive too. I might even have a cheeky cover up my sleeve that I think will be a crowd favourite for sure,” she says.

Stellie’s ‘Violet Girl’ tour kicks off in August beginning in Sydney on Friday 12 with the final show being in Adelaide on Saturday 27 August at Jive Bar. Get your tickets HERE.
