The big winners at last night’s National Live Music Awards (NLMAs) included Baker Boy, Stella Donnelly and Tropical Fuck Storm. Meanwhile, veteran rockers Magic Dirt were Hall of Fame inductees and SA’s Electric Fields won their first national award.

Put simply, Gang of Youths are the best band in the country right now. And they are a band in the true sense of the word, with the five members working together to create something truly special in a dynamic, high-energy live show.

Gang of Youths are the real deal. In an era of producers and manufactured music it’s great to see a band who clearly enjoy making music together and who do it so damn well.
