What was your favourite music from 2019? There was some excellent material released this year and, in our annual wrap up of the best albums, we look back on just some of the great records that dropped in the last 12 months.
Olympia
Last night at Jive, Olympia delivered a highly satisfying taste of the old and the new on her ‘Star City’ tour of the country.
As has been our tradition over the past few years, here is the top 30 albums for 2016 according to The Upside News.
Olympia and band showed that they have the power to engage an audience, and do so effortlessly. The band played well and Olympia hit every high note, both vocally and on her wonderful blue Jazzmaster.
This album is going straight to my list of favourites.
Self Talk has already offered up several singles, which illustrate the themes of the album, and Olympia says she’s looking forward to sharing the rest of the record.
