Electric, Lady Daly promises powerful local music and high voltage vibes

A bunch of powerhouse, local bands are set to light up the night on Saturday, October 14, for Electric, Lady Daly.

Supported by the City of Charles Sturt and programmed by stalwarts of the Adelaide arts scene, Libby Trainor Parker and Matthew Trainor, Electric, Lady Daly will see four iconic local music acts conducting a night of high energy sounds.

Electric, Lady Daly will showcase some of the super hot bands we have in Adelaide in a celebration of music and good times,” Libby says. “We love the Lady Daly and we are grateful to City of Charles Sturt in helping us to get these bands on the same stage in this beautiful pub. Electric, Lady Daly is a nod to the superb, femme-focused bands we have in our state and we can’t wait to show them off to you.”

Kicking off at 7pm, Electric, Lady Daly is headlined by everyone’s favourite, psychedelic blues rockers, Mums Favourite who played on one of Libby and Matt’s first ever gig lineups, so they are thrilled to have them back, particularly since their star is very much on a rapid rise.

Post-punk, noise-rock creatives, Placement have found time to charge up the Lady Daly crowd in between taking on the rest of the country with a national support slot and the September release of new single, ‘It’s Over’.

Also creating a spark on the Electric, Lady Daly line up are The Dead Regulars who, when they are not gracing the stage as the house band for sold out, award winning cabaret shows are blasting garage rock with chunky riffs and dirty grooves.

Finally, completing the circuit for a night of powerful music and high voltage vibes is new kid on the block Fever Dream, bringing melancholy queer music to the table.

“We have programmed an exciting and talented lineup for this gig and we hope it is the first of many events with City of Charles Sturt and Lady Daly,” Libby says. “We are actually pinching ourselves because we can’t believe how much talent will be in one room!”
