SA Burlesque community celebrates with inaugural awards event

Tonight, members of SA’s sparkliest community will come together to celebrate, involvement, achievement and appreciation through the very first SA Burlesque Community Awards.

In a red carpet, gala event with all the glitz and glamour appropriate for such an industry, the awards will pay tribute to community minded practice within local burlesque and cabaret.

Hosted by awards creator and burly favourite Diana Divine, the ceremony boasts a lineup of local and interstate performers including superstar Kitty Obsidian and the long-awaited return of original SA burlesque legend Luna Eclipse.

The inaugural home for the event is My Lover Cindi and the award finalists in categories such as Motivational Speaker, Excellence in Access, Far and Away Touring award, Mentor award and Community Spouse feature the likes of venue Nineteen Ten, events like The Apprentease SA, and Finest Filth; mentors such as Serafina Sinclair and Lylah Bloom, and burly stars Lyra LaBelle, Heather Bell, Loveit Murray, and so many more.

The coveted award of the evening is the SA Burlesque Community Achievement Award, which will see the winner going home with a $500 cash prize.

The SA Community Burlesque Awards are on Monday 18 December at My Lover Cindi. Book your tickets HERE.
