It’s been a long wait, they were last in Australia back in 2011, but finally Skillet return to Australia.

A massive lineup consisting of punk legends, Refused, hardcore new york punks, Sick Of It All and up comers High Tension filled HQ venue on Jan 22, giving Adelaide a 101 history on the shape of punk.
These shows take the artist and the fans back to a moment in time, allowing everyone in the room to reflect and celebrate a moment in their younger self’s life, for better or worse. These shows are an opportunity to see The Used at their peak. Their masterful experience after 14 years of touring and instrumental practice makes this the best performance of their most iconic and beloved album.
Adelaide and Perth were treated to a personal headline performance by Lamb Of God. Sure the East Coast got Slipknot and a support set from Lamb Of God, but there’s definitely a few East Coast fans who will be sobbing at home after reading the setlist Adelaide got.
As a band, Cold War Kids don’t verbally engage much during a show, but they do have a Nick Cave-like energy as they prowl the stage, connecting with each other and the audience through demeanour and a commitment to performance.
The music industry can be fickle at times, and while The Darkness may not have the pulling power they once had, it was evident from last night’s performance they are still one of the best live bands of the modern era.
