Irish experimental folk singer SOAK has unveiled a video for the official release of forthcoming-single ‘Blud’, ahead of the arrival of her debut album.
The much anticipated Before We Forgot How To Dream is set for release Friday 29th May via Rough Trade/Remote Control Records.
Currently in Australia for the first time, but unfortunately not touring Adelaide, SOAK (aka Bridie Monds-Watson) is showing Sydney and Melbourne audiences why she’s been attracting so much attention.

Filmed between Derry, London and her nationwide tour of skate-parks, the video to ‘Blud’ documents SOAK’s whirlwind start to 2015.
‘Blud’ was written shortly before SOAK’s parents separated, and has since become a focal point of the forthcoming debut album, Before We Forgot How To Dream – already compared with the likes of Laura Marling and Beach House.
Before We Forgot How To Dream is a record which traces Bridie’s extraordinary journey in her career thus far, and also tackles those more universal themes of friendship, family and identity.
Bridie started writing songs at the age of thirteen, before an early demo of ‘Sea Creatures’ grabbed the attention of the BBC.
Before We Forgot How To Dream is set for release on 29th of May so check out this incredibly charismatic young performer with a gift for songwriting and storytelling.
