If you’re hankering for a Sunday sesh, but you feel like you should do something worthwhile instead, get to The Kings Head tomorrow, Sunday 21st June.
From 2pm, The Kings Head will offer beverages. a lineup of local Adelaide bands, a gourmet BBQ, and a chance to raise funds for those who are homeless or affected by domestic violence.
Ruf Us is a charity run by volunteers, with no grants or incomes, who provide food, clothing, street swags, care packs, nutritional supplements and care to those who are homeless.
They assist people in need with applications for supportive accommodation and then help them transition into that accommodation.
They educate, raise awareness, raise money, empower, and advocate for people in dire situations.
If all that isn’t good enough, they have teamed up with The Kings Head to put on a great show, and they need our help to drink beer, be merry, enjoy music and give generously.
Catch Louise Lovedust, Sean Kemp, Trent Worley, Alien Nation, Funk Throne, Behind State Lines, Chance Elective and Flash Fire as they do their music thing, while doing more great things for Adelaide’s homeless.
Just $15 will get you all of that music, two drinks and the gift of helping someone less fortunate than yourself; $30 will get you two drinks, gourmet BBQ and a warm feeling knowing you could be putting a roof over someone’s head.
If you’re keen for a Sunday sesh this weekend, make sure it’s this one and help Adelaide’s homeless this winter.
