UK band Hacktivist are on Friday announced the departure of founding member and vocalist Ben Marvin.

Due to family commitments and a desire to spend more time at home, Ben made the tough decision to part ways with the band but said he has enjoyed his time in the rap-metal band.

“My time in Hacktivist has been sick!” Ben says. “Big up all the fans across the world and the rest of the band for making this possible. One love.”

Ben has been an integral part of Hacktivist on stage and in the studio since the band’s inception, and the band open-heartedly wish him well for the future.

“We want to wish Ben all the best for his future endeavours,” a spokesperson says. “Hacktivist won’t be the same without him and we will all miss him. But this is also a new beginning, and we’re looking forward to the next chapter.”

Ben will be leaving at the end of the month following a headline show in their hometown in Milton Keynes.

All future touring commitments will be honoured, including shows at UK Tech-Fest, Download Spain and Graspop.
