Dean Bourne lays claim to being Australia’s most loved and longest running Roy Orbison Tribute Artist, having performed in the role over the past twenty years. On Saturday evening he brings his stand alone show to Her Masjesty’s Theatre in Adelaide as part of an extensive national tour, that will will see him once again showcasing the very best from The Big ‘O’ – including all those classic hits plus a special Travelling Wilburys tribute.
‘I am so proud to be bringing this show to Australian audiences and celebrating 20 years of performing as Roy Orbison,’ says Dean. ‘I feel so blessed and humbled that Australians have loved my shows for all these years and take so much joy in hearing Roy’s music time after time. I hope you all come back again in 2017 and join me in celebrating this 20th anniversary of living the magic of Roy.’
Dean Boune has been performing since he was ten, but started performing Roy Orbison songs in 1997 when he overwhelmingly won over judges and producers with his Roy impersonation. Since then he has not stopped, winning over a legion of fans across Australia and the world. He has been described as having ‘The Spirit Of Roy Orbison within him’ as he performs Roy Orbison’s iconic hits such as Pretty Woman, Crying, Dream Baby, Leah, Only The Lonely, In Dreams, Candy Man, You Got It and many many more.
A special highlight in the show will see Dean celebrate the magical hits of The Traveling Wilburys, performing hits such as Not Alone Anymore, Handle With Care and End Of The Line.
