Brit-pop revivalists, The Kooks today announced they will be returning to South Australia for the first time in five years on December 28 to headline Beach Life, a festival-style set-up with the perfect sunset view on the Glenelg foreshore at Jimmy Melrose Park, between The Grand and the beach.
The Kooks will kick off the 2018 New Year’s weekend, bringing their own personalised selection of Australia’s hottest musical talent, transforming Glenelg into a one-day festival for an evening of starry night sky sing-alongs. Completing the event will be funk rockers Winston Surfshirt, Brisbane’s Last Dinosaurs, and Adelaide’s homegrown rising star, MANE.
Hitting Australia in support of their new album ‘Let’s Go Sunshine,’ which is being touted as their very best. The Kooks bring all the grit, glory and jangling guitars of the indie brit-pop scene they’ve ruled for over a decade.
Beach Life will host audiences for an evening of sun, beach and summer night vibes. Complimenting the musical line up is a variety of delicious food options from Filipino Project and Beach Burrito to ensure everyone is satisfied as the sun goes down and the music goes off.
