THE EXHIBITION TO EXPOSE BEST URBAN ARTISTS ON NEW WAREHOUSE STAGE

New Holdfast Bay venue Dad’s Warehouse is set to play host to hip hop artists and a live music culture for Adelaide creatives.

Launching on October 26 with its first gig aptly named, ‘The Exhibition’, Dad’s Warehouse will see a jam-packed line up of emerging local hip hop talent to kick off its new life as a chill out zone for artists, a record label and a record store.

Venue owner and event organiser Lachy Riches says the venue will be a multi-purpose, community hang out for local and interstate artists.

“Adelaide provides the world with premier artists like the Hilltop Hoods, Sia and Allday. But emerging artists are super lacking in opportunities to perform. Dad’s Warehouse is going to be the launchpad for more amazing Adelaide and Australian acts,” Lachy says.

Sponsored by McLaren Vale brewery Shifty Lizard, The Exhibition will officially open the venue with a stellar line up of local artists like, Claz, China Roses, B.Z.A, and Playback 808’s Ajak, Ness and ELK, among others.

“Dad’s Warehouse is going to showcase the eclectic young talent in the city of verses,” Playback 808 founder and performer in his own right DyspOra says.

Over the next few months Lachy will be working tirelessly to turn his Dad’s Warehouse (which is actually his father’s warehouse) into a visually stimulating music venue for the Adelaide hip-hop scene to thrive in.
