Colombian musician Juan Muñoz’s love affair with music began at age 16 when he accompanied his cousin to guitar classes in order to keep her safe.

When he was 28, Juan travelled to Asia and worked as a performer across Thailand, China, and Malaysia before spending a number of years in Singapore performing at Union Square, the city’s home of Latin beats.

Since the end of 2012 he has been living in Adelaide, continuing his music career by performing in venues all around Australia.

Featured as part of Nexus Arts’ Interplay series,  Juan spends his time between playing in his Latin rock group Latitude 0, which recently performed a sold-out season at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2020 and running his own music production business Ormeega Productions.

Juan Muñoz’s new video ‘El Chico de la Guitarra’ is performed live at Nexus Arts and showcases Latitude 0’s unique Latin rock fusion.

Nexus’ Interplay artist development program fosters an interconnected and supportive network of contemporary musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds living and working in South Australia.

Interplay develops industry-specific skills and abilities, providing advice and support to artists, while accelerating engagement with Australia’s contemporary music industry.
