Erotic, taboo and sexually empowering Smut Uncut: An Erotica Extravaganza is set to have audiences on the edge of their seats and begging for more at this year’s Adelaide Fringe.
The result of three creatives coming together and sharing a disappointment in the representation of sex in popular culture, the Sisters in Smut premiere their new thought-provoking and downright sexy show across three nights.
Sisters in SMUT’s Kahlia Clarke says, “we’re really just a bunch of regular local gals who came together in early 2020, realised that we didn’t identify at all with the sex we saw in porn and movies and literature, and decided to create the content we wished we could find ourselves.”
For anyone who is not afraid to push the boundaries of their comfort zone with talk about sex, this show brings something completely different to the Fringe.
With an array of talents including creative writing, poetry, musical instruments and singing, this show will leave audiences with a renewed sense of creative and sexual empowerment.
The show will offer an inclusive experience for audiences with mini games and prizes, choose your own adventure literary experience and opportunities to contribute your own anonymous questions about all things sex.
“This show is all about bringing that fresh, diverse, taboo-tackling youth perspective to the world of sex,” Kahlia says.
“More than anything we wanted this show to be something written by young people that could speak to that perspective on sex and dating, but the show will be a riot regardless of your age.”
Smut Uncut: An Erotica Extravaganza will be showing at The Howling Owl, Vardon Avenue from 11-13 March 2021.
