A unique Bruce Springsteen tribute is headed to Adelaide Fringe as Classic Bruce, promising to be one of the key draw cards at the garden from 27th February – 16th March.
Showcasing a 15-piece classical orchestra and six South Australian rock musicians and vocalists, Classic Bruce presents 12 of Springsteen’s career defining hits.
Former Fringe chair turned producer David Minear says the line-up will deliver a show that is the ultimate mark of respect to a brilliant songwriter and a down-to-earth bloke while also paying tribute to the musicianship on home soil.
“Classic Bruce embodies everything that Adelaide Fringe 2021 is all about. This show celebrates South Australian musicianship and reminds us of the amazing homegrown talent that we are fortunate to have in our backyard,” says David.
The show will feature Rohan Powell and Polly Politis from popular Adelaide band Acoustic Juice under the musical direction of Australian-born and Adelaide-based internationally acclaimed violinist Julian Ferraretto.
“Adelaide has an enduring love affair with Bruce Springsteen, and we have worked hard to create an experience that channels Bruce’s showmanship, talent and energy. We couldn’t be more excited to premiere Classic Bruce at the Adelaide Fringe in a year that live music will come back to life,” says Julian.
In the comfort of an open-air venue, Classic Bruce will take you away with Springsteen anthems such as Dancing in the Dark, Glory Days, Born in the USA, My Hometown and Born to Run.
Start warming your vocal cords and celebrate the legend that is Bruce Springsteen with Classic Bruce exclusively at Gluttony this fringe season.
