Have you ever tasted a Rakomelo, Kafe La Bomba, Oyster Shell Gin or a Panettone Negroni? Ever wondered what the difference is between a London Dry, Navy and Old Tom gin?
Head down to the Riverbank Promenade as SpiritFest ’23 kicks off on Saturday, October 28, showcasing more than 40 South Australian craft distillers sharing their passion and knowledge with spirit enthusiasts.
Get the low-down on single malt and blended whisky, and learn what it means to stir the mash and flocculate.
Hosted by Distillers South Australia, this meet-the-maker spirits event will allow visitors to savour the artistry of local distilleries that will offer craft gin, vodka, whisky, rum, brandy, liqueurs, and more.
“SpiritFest ’23 is a unique opportunity for people to see an array of South Australian distilleries all at one place at the same time,” says George Georgiadis, President of Distillers South Australia. “As our distillers will be selling full bottles, SpirtFest ‘23 is timed perfectly for you to grab some gifts and stock up on supplies for the Christmas period.”
Chat with the crew at Ginny Pig Distillery who were recently awarded the Best Overall Gin in the World in San Francisco.
Talk and taste with Prohibition Liquor Co. who picked up Champion Australian Distiller in Melbourne.
Connect with Tin Shed Distilling and Mad Monkey Distillery who were awarded Champion Whisky and Rum distillers respectively in Australia at the Royal Australian Spirit Awards just this month!
Not only will you have the opportunity to talk with the best in the business, visitors will be treated to relaxed tunes during the day and a DJ at night, Instagram-worthy cocktails, and tasty eats.
There are also a limited number of masterclasses on offer where enthusiasts can gain a deeper understanding of spirits.
SpiritFest ‘23 is a cashless event, so don’t forget your credit card.
The event is proudly supported by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions, highlighting the strong support for the South Australian spirits industry.
“We’re lucky to have some of the best spirits on offer made right here in SA and exported all around the world,” says the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, the Hon. Clare Scriven MLC.
Prohibition Liquor Co, 1946 Spirits, Storytellers Distillery and Seppeltsfield Road Distillery are offering a unique insight into what’s involved in crafting great South Australian spirits in a series of exclusive masterclasses that promise to entertain!
