Adelaide Fringe Review: Tartan Tabletop in a Dungeons & Dragons Comedy: The Never-ending Quest

Looking for a Scottish nerdy adventure that’s different every time?

To a full house, four improvisor pros with multifarious accents and diverse humour sit at a table facing the audience with guest performer featured in their centre: stand-up comedian Nick Robertson who brought plenty of laughs and wore goblin ears to aplomb.

Audience members can order food and drinks during the show using QR-codes. My pre-ordered chips were delivered by a server in a magical wizard costume with special skills for finding audience members who don’t even say which show they are attending. Full kudos to the venue and staff!

Plenty of good laughs, entertaining audience interaction, and some fun props! Murder mystery story on the afternoon I attended.

More costumes as featured in advertising, a soundscape, and projected images could take to the next level: but I also like the minimalistic and casual nature of the show.

Feel free to dress up as your finest elf or come casual. I recommend arriving early or staying on after to play from the vast board-game collection at The Lost Dice.

Good fun!
