Flickerfest returns to the Mercury Cinema on Saturday 28 March with its 2015 touring programme Short Films – Licensed To Thrill.

Celebrating 24 years of short film excellence, Flickerfest remains Australia’s leading Academy® Accredited and BAFTA recognised short film festival.

Flickerfest 2015 received over 2,400 entries, with only the top 110 shorts selected in official competition.

Every finalist was handpicked to represent the most innovative, creative and cutting edge short films being produced today.

unnamed (1)The calibre of this year’s program is, again, impressive with several films screening at some of the world’s most prominent and revered film festivals, including Sundance and Cannes.

The Adelaide leg of the Flickerfest tour will feature two screening programmes: Best of International #1 – On Tour, and Best of Australian Shorts – On Tour.

Many of the short films are premieres, giving local Flickerfest audiences the first look at the world’s hottest short films.
