Stuck for ideas this school holidays? How about enrolling your kids into some of Carclew’s fun and imaginative workshops.
Run by some of Adelaide’s more interesting and dynamic artists, Carclew’s workshops are a great way to think outside the square (or iPad or computer) and get into a creative space.
Carclew’s Explore Arts Workshops will be running from 28 September to 9 October, and cater for ages 5-17 years.
From classes in clowning and performing, to a venture in visual arts and spray painting, there’s something for everyone.
This season, one of the workshops offers an experience in ‘old-school’ photography, allowing young aspiring photographers to get behind the lens of a camera which isn’t attached to their phone and see what it was like to snap photos before the digital era.
Participants will learn the dos and don’ts of film photography, and experience what it’s like to work in a darkroom, discovering the the raw beauty of developing their own photos.
