To soothe your soul this silly season, Rundle Mall is giving shoppers the gift of music this month featuring local singer songwriters.

The inaugural Terrace Sessions are a free, pop-up music series featuring some of South Australia’s most talented musicians, playing over four Friday nights.

The Terrace Sessions will showcase talent from the likes of Mason Lloyde, Ollie English, Tara Carragher and Kelly Menhennett.

The event will offer shoppers the chance to unwind while overlooking Rundle Mall during the busiest retail period of the year.

Centre Manager of Rundle Mall Plaza Evan Brumby said the organisation is thrilled to support local talent as part of an ongoing investment in the South Australian arts community.

“We are proud to give a platform for local musicians that will compliment patrons who visit the Terrace precinct,” he says. “As an organisation, we want to offer something unique to our customers to give them an improved shopping experience. We wanted to add value to traditional festive activations as we welcome the summer months.”

In conjunction with Music SA, Plaza Management have curated a program of artists to compliment Friday night shopping.

The partnership illustrates the importance of ongoing local support to musicians and artists alike.

Multiple SAM Award winner Ollie English says he is keen to see what this new opportunity will bring to the people of Adelaide.

“I am stoked to see so many new music events like this popping up around Adelaide and bringing new breaks to artists,” he says. “The line-up is looking really great for the Terrace Sessions and I look forward to helping people unwind during such a busy time of year.”

The Terrace Sessions will be held on Fridays at Rundle Mall Plaza’s level 1 dining space ‘The Terrace’ from 5pm until 7pm from 22 November until 13 December.
