FRINGE REVIEW: DRAG SUPREMENEXUS ARTS, 2020

DRAG SUPREME (Kultural-Realness/Edition) presented by the Haus of Kong is an evening of empowerment, pride and fierce entertainment. Hosted by House Mother Kween Kong, this drag/cabaret show is a showcase of the diversity within the South Australian drag community.

Drag Queens, Kings and the Dragette Dancers take the stage in succession, lip-syncing, gyrating and dancing the night away. Performing hits such as Bonnie Tyler’s I Need a Hero to Robyn’s Dancing on my Own, each presenter owned the stage bedecked in glitter, feathers, chiseled abs and cheekbones.

Well executed, professional and incredibly enthusiastic, the Haus of Kong has created a completely immersive experience. A real work out for the vocal cords, hands and lungs; applause and celebration isn’t mandatory, but it is certainly unavoidable.

Each drag artist complemented the next in their variety and uniqueness. A perfect introduction for any drag novice, or evening out for well-seasoned fans. Haus of Kong have created a truly safe and loving space to showcase their performers talents. The care and respect they have for one another is palpable and truly refreshing.

Fun, daring, sexy, spectacular and every other positive adjective you can think of still aren’t quite enough to describe the immense enjoyment to be experienced from DRAG SUPREME. An incredibly energetic and immensely heart warming show.
