GET THOSE FRIDAY FEELS WITH YOUR FAVOURITE LOCAL CABARET STARS

It’s been a while since performers worldwide have been able to switch on the stage lights, shake out their sequins and go to town on the grand piano, but finally that time has come for artists and audiences alike in Adelaide!

Friday Feels is a double bill with cabaret faves, Amelia Ryan, Michael Griffiths and Victoria Falconer, which is sure to get you in the mood.

“Whilst plans to be touring the globe or even interstate may be temporarily on hold, myself, Michael Griffiths, and Victoria Falconer have created a night that brings together an incredible array of artists, who are at home here in beautiful Adelaide due to COVID19,” says Amelia Ryan.

With a lineup of world-class variety including Libby O’Donovan, State Theatre Artistic Director Mitchell Butel, and drag royalty Kween Kong, there’s not one but two shows on offer in a festival-style double bill.

The first half, Feels Early, is brought to you by the Helpmann Award-winning Michael Griffiths and cabaret diva Amelia Ryan.

These dear friends and highly-acclaimed artists have appeared as both solo performers and as a double act in every cabaret and fringe festival across Australia and beyond to London, New York and Edinburgh, receiving rave reviews and standing ovations wherever they go.

“With guests gleaned from the highest echelons of cabaret and musical theatre, expect class, sass and a whole lot of laughs!” says Michael Griffiths.

Feels Late is curated and hosted by the feisty, flirty cabaret firebrand Victoria Falconer, who is best known for co-creating and performing with her feminist troupe Fringe Wives Club (Glittery Clittery).

With two Best Cabaret Awards from Adelaide Fringe under her belt, and a nomination for both a Sydney Theatre Award and a Green Room Award for musical direction this year, Victoria and her gang of sultry singers, fabulous neo-burlesquers and fierce drag royalty are ready to rock your socks off.

“We celebrate the unapologetically real, the outrageously queer, the playful and the provocative,” Victoria says.

Accompanied by a live house band of talented local musicians and serving up the full spectrum of cabaret, this exclusive show is guaranteed to give you all the feels!

The artists are working with Nexus Arts Venue in taking all the necessary precautions to keep our artists and audience safe, in adherence with current government health guidelines.
