BOWERBIRD MARKET RETURNS TO ADELAIDE SHOWGROUNDS

Bowerbird, Adelaide’s leading design event returns to the Adelaide Showgrounds just in time for Mother’s Day, presenting some of Australia’s most exciting designers and brands from 7 – 9 May.

Over 160 designers, both local and interstate – a third of them new or emerging – will once again come together, presenting a large selection of brands across a wide range of products; accessories, skincare, stationery, clothing, art, homewares, jewellery, kids’ toys and pantry treats – there’s something for everyone!

Director Peggy Byrne is delighted to be presenting the next event with an extensive range of designers.

“Bowerbird is a great opportunity to gather with friends and family to support the creative small business community who have just come off a very unique year. 2020 allowed so many to spend more time creating and we’re thrilled to be able to showcase these wonderful Australian designers and makers. A big part of the Bowerbird experience is that it also allows people to take the time to chat to the designers, discover their stories and feel their passion.  Our line-up for May looks fantastic with some of our favourites returning and other new exciting brands,” she says.

Proudly South Australian, Bowerbird loves supporting local designers.

Launching at the next event will be the fun and colourful street-inspired SA clothing brand Urban Goat, along with The Craft Kit, sharing their passion for craft, and Valerie and Bob’s ethical, sustainable clothing hand-made here in Adelaide by a mother and daughter team.

Bowerbird will welcome back some favourites; including Indi and Frey silicone teething toys and silicone jewellery, local natural body care brand Truth Cosmetics, Etikette Candles’ beautiful range made from natural soy wax and Sophie Moss Photography’s stunning black and white cards and prints from some of SA’s most iconic locations just to name a few.

Crossing the border in May will be Melbourne-based natural handmade skincare company Mark Yee Studio and Shorthive Honey, with delicious, infused honey from their family farm in South West Victoria.

Crafted in the NSW Blue Mountains, My Menagerie creates handmade soft toys and cuddly felt pieces inspired by animals, and Appleye Jewellery Designs use traditional metal smith methods to create pieces inspired by the NSW South Coast surrounds.

Overland Studio Tasman’s clothes marry sustainability with comfort and movement, suitable for any occasion.

Pixie Linen from Queensland will be bringing with them their beautiful children’s sleepwear and bed linen.

All are welcome to the Bowerbird Design Market from 7 – 9 May 2021.
