Fringe magic brings Madness, Mayhem and Miracles

Award winning, Scottish comedian and magician Kevin Kopfstein is back with Madness, Mayhem and Miracles this Adelaide Fringe.

Performing at Adelaide’s newest venue, Prompt Creative Centre, the international festival veteran promises a hilarious, mysterious and fabulous Fringe experience for the whole family.

“I can’t wait to play the Prompt Creative Centre for the first time with this show,” he says. “You can expect spellbinding sleight of hand, magic with a comedic twist, and stories to steal a gambler’s heart.

“This is a solo show with lots of audience interaction. I’ve been performing for over 30 years, starting out in my native Glasgow Scotland. It was a tough training ground. If Glasgow audiences like you they let you know. They’re also not shy in telling you if they don’t like you!”

But they did like him, with Kevin Kopfstein winning the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Scottish Comedy Awards in 2017.

Meanwhile, back home, you can expect the unexpected at his latest Adelaide Fringe show which will have you gasping, groaning and giggling!

“Audiences are going to experience mind boggling magic, with lots of laughs and audience interaction. There’s some genuinely spooky moments as well!” Kevin says. “I’ve inherited a spooky doll called Harriet who will be making an appearance in this show. I’m not saying she’s haunted but every time she’s around, strange things start to happen!”

Kevin’s shows have enjoyed sold-out seasons and this year will be no different, so grab your tickets quickly for a feast for the senses that is set to sell out fast.

“I get a lot of families coming, especially those with young teens. It’s sometimes difficult to find a show that’s suitable for them. There are lots of shows for young children and adults but not a lot for those in the 10 to 16 age group. I had an audience member from my last Fringe show tell me that what she loved about my show was that it was really funny without any swearing.”

Madness, Mayhem and Miracles is the perfect Fringe show: highly visual with
lots of laughter and audience interaction, seamlessly blended with astonishing magic that has
people talking days after they leave.
