Get ready for Adelaide Laneway

Laneway Festival returns to Adelaide tomorrow. Upside will be there covering all the action; here is what we are looking forward to:

  1. That Laneway is back! The pandemic has had such a devastating impact the music industry and the music festival scene in particular, forcing many cancellations and postponements. As a result, it’s been few years since Laneway has happened. This fixure has been sorely missed and we are excited to have it back.
  2. New location. Don’t head to the Port tomorrow! Laneway 2023 has relocated to Bonython Park on the fringes of the CBD. The former site by the water was picturesque and had its own charm – but a move back to the city, and a parkland location at that, is very welcome. We are looking forward to checking out the new digs!
  3. The lineup. Let’s face it, this is the main reason we go. Laneway has always curated an incredible schedule of established and emerging acts – and this year is no exception. Our anticipated highlights are Haim, Fontaines DC, The Beths and Phoebe Bridgers. But, as always, the thrill of this festival is also discovering your favourite new act – so we will be on the hunt like everyone else.
  4. Markets, food and drink. Laneway wouldn’t be Laneway without the usual side offerings of markets, plus the food and drink stalls. And the vinyl store (complete with artist signing desk) is a must!
  5. The weather forecast. Sunny and 27 degrees is just perfect festival weather. There have been years when the event has felt like the hottest day of the year (particularly among the bitumen surrounding of the previous location) – but in 2023, it seems that even the weather is getting on board to welcome the festival back.

The Laneway gates open tomorrow morning at 11:30. For last mintute tickets and event information, click here.

Otherwise, we will see you there!
