Performer Laura Knaggs reckons ‘In no other place on earth will you find the kind of solidarity that can be found in a women’s club bathroom’ and this is the foundation to Silly Little Things which is making its Adelaide debut next month.
Fresh off the back of a triumphant 4-star international debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this vibrant and heart- warming one-woman show explores failure, anxiety, and the grief that grows within a distancing friendship.
The premise is thus: Rosie’s flower shop is failing, her mum won’t stop calling, and her best friendship is blowing up before her very eyes. Throw in mullet boys, a hellish neighbour, and Tom Cruise, and you’ve got one hilarious hour of storytelling from your most charming, albeit dysfunctional, friend.
Silly Little Things follows one young woman’s journey to discovering sometimes the “silly little things” in life are the most meaningful of all.
If you’ve splurged all your cash on tequila, turned to Hinge for a hug, or struggled to mend a crumbling friendship, this show will touch your heart, make you laugh, and remind you of the beauty in life’s ups and downs.
