Pride Adelaide teams up with Mary’s Poppin for Poppin Out this November

Pop icon Samantha Jade and Australia’s very own golden girl, Nikki Webster are set to headline this year’s Poppin Out Festival.

They join an electrifying program, featuring queer music legend Brendan Mclean, drag headliners Kane Enable, Kween Kong, and Art Simone, and a delicious lineup of DJs.

Bringing the beats are I Remember House DJ Set, DJ Argonaut, DJ Chip, Indi Klosette, DJ Josif, and DJ Dan Murphy, along with drag artists set to slay the house down including local legends such as Alison Xpress, Berri Juicy, Ellie Delight, Estelle, and Eve Elle, Luci Furr, Minty Hydrangea, Wundes and Xai Borg.

Celebrating 51 years of Pride March in Adelaide, Pride Adelaide is set to bring an unprecedented level of fabulousness to our city’s streets.

This year, Pride March goes east, taking the celebration of Pride right to the heart of the city on Saturday 2nd November 2024 and proudly marching towards Poppin Out, the queer festival set to transform Synagogue Place into the ultimate celebration spot, marking the final destination for Pride Marchers to let loose.

From the creative minds behind the iconic LGBTQIA+ nightclub Marys Poppin, Poppin Out is set to be a day to night street party full of fierce performances and fabulous DJ sets like you’ve never seen before all set on the street in front of Marys.

Starting at 2.00pm on Saturday 2nd November in Rymill Park, Pride March will parade through East Terrace and North Terrace onto Pulteney and Rundle Streets, ending back at Rymill park, only minutes away from Marys Poppin where the festivities will continue.

Director of Poppin Out and Marys Poppin Owner Stephen Craddock says, “After the community’s response to Poppin Out during Adelaide Fringe we are beyond excited to do it all again by partnering with Pride Adelaide for the ultimate celebration of Pride.

“Pride March invites everyone to defiantly be themselves, to step up and demand visibility for who they are, the same values we built Poppin Out on.”

Attendees to Poppin Out can expect DJs, drag performers and good times amalgamating in a loud and colourful celebration of everything queer.

Eric Kuhlmann, Chair of Pride Adelaide, reflected on the significance of this year’s march, stating, “As we commemorate 51 years of Pride in Adelaide, our new route through the city’s east side symbolises a vibrant future and a closer connection to our community’s core. Collaborating with Poppin Out allows us to amplify our celebration and further enhance our commitment to inclusivity and acceptance. I invite everyone to join us and be part of the historic Pride March 2024.”

Pride March participants will gather from 2:00pm in MURLAWIRRAPURKA (RYMILL PARK) before the March commences at 3:00pm.
