This is THE party of the Fringe! Bootscootin’ baddies, thigh slappin’ numbers and the hottest cast that’ll put the wild in your west and the yee in your haw.
Featuring tassel-twirling, whip cracking, fire spinning and an inflatable cow, The Burlesque Hoe Down was an absolute riot and the best way to spend a weekend afternoon.
There is a risk in doing a sexy show in a matinee timeslot (at the very civilised 4pm), but that didn’t stop the audience from hooting, hollering and going hoarse with excitement for every act.
Produced by Teaser Productions, The Burlesque Hoe Down is so full of highlights that there are no standouts because every single act brought their A-Game. This was definitely not their first rodeo!
After an absolute banger of an opening number featuring the whole cast, our host bursts through the saloon doors and it’s the incomparable Lyra LaBelle who lifts the standard of any show she is part of. The audience immediately falls in love with this blonde bombshell (if they aren’t already). Lyra runs a tight ship and strikes the perfect balance between playfully keeping the audience titillated and keeping things rolling.
Ember Rose brings her trail-blazing brand of tap-lesque (she’s the only one in the world doing it), Serafina Sinclair treats us to the height of tease, Winchester Angel is giving high-class Calamity Jane perfection, Teaser Amore makes us scream for fire… and we do, Flow Alchemist brings the heat and danger, and Remi Reign would make even the most lactose intolerant want more of what she’s offering.
What a hootenanny! Next time The Burlesque Hoe Down rides into town, round up your cowboys and cowgirls and get your tickets because it is the best party in town!
