A new series of shows has arrived thanks to a partnership between award winning cabaret performer Libby Trainor Parker and Adelaide’s premier burlesque venue Nineteen Ten.

Starting tonight, the Last Thursday of the Month series will feature bingo, themed cabaret and comedy on rotation until the end of the year.

Daring Adelaide audiences to shake off the winter blues with some hot performers, hilarious bingo calls, and classic cocktails at Nineteen Ten, tonight kicks off the series with Burly Bingo hosted by Libby Trainor Parker and featuring a lineup of local burlesque stars, great prizes and fun games.

July will see the second offering in the series, Theme Queens, where the public nominate and vote on a theme for a show through social media and Libby creates a cabaret show around the winning theme – July’s theme is Board Game Burlesque.

August sees a return of Titillating Comedy, a fabulous night of very funny burlesque and stand-up comedy from Adelaide’s hottest silly performers.

In September, we welcome warmer weather by rotating the roster with Burly Bingo, followed by Theme Queens in October and Titillating Comedy in November.

Audiences can expect sexy and silly entertainment, with lots of laughs, and performances from new and established performers as they enjoy first class hospitality at the stunning Nineteen Ten.

“The weather maybe soggy, but you’ll get nothing but sultry and saucy good times when you come to our Last Thursday of the Month series,” Libby Trainor Parker says.

”As a former venue owner I know the hard work and dedication that goes into providing quality entertainment all year round to keep the lights on, and I feel honoured that Carolyn and the Nineteen Ten team are allowing me to curate some fantastic opportunities for performers and audiences.”

These three unique events across the year, Burly Bingo, Theme Queens and Titillating Comedy will something fun, surprising and delightfully different to look forward to each month.

“I wanted to create a reason for people to grab a bunch of friends, head out and enjoy time with each other. My audiences are the best in the world and I encourage everyone to experience the warmth and connection you’ll feel at one of my shows,” Libby says.

Our goal is to have a good time, so ticket prices for the series are kept affordable, the vibe is relaxed, and as always, the venue is wheelchair accessible and disability friendly.

And if you want more cabaret, or Thursday doesn’t work for you, there’s also Collabaret: Open Mic Cabaret on the second Sunday of the month, which is celebrating its second birthday in July.

”I started Collabaret: Open Mic Cabaret at my venue Prompt Creative Centre in July 2024,” Libby says. “As a cabaret performer, I was struggling to find spaces where I could try out new stuff that wasn’t a whole show, but also wasn’t quite suitable for comedy rooms. I wanted to collaborate with other artists to make a show where everyone was trying new things and Collabaret was born. I thought I’d just do a couple of shows to see if it would work and it turns out, there were plenty of artists wanting to put their work in the show, so here we are two years later!”

Hosted by Libby Trainor Parker and featuring a lineup of the sexiest funny people in Adelaide, Titillating Comedy is a saucy, silly comedy show dishing up titters, tease, pleasure, punchlines, whimsy and wit.

COLLABARET CELEBRATES TWO YEARS

While not part of the Last Thursday of the Month series, Trainor Parker’s popular open mic cabaret night, Collabaret, will celebrate its second birthday next month.

Held on the second Sunday of every month, Collabaret provides a supportive space for cabaret performers to test new material in front of an audience of artists, creatives and cabaret enthusiasts. A unique audience tipping system allows patrons to directly support performers as they develop new work.
