A large percentage of Adelaide’s French community, as well as more than a smattering of our fair city’s Francophiles, braved the chill of Friday evening and eagerly filled the Nexus Cabaret in order to experience a night of French romantic melancholia presented by the Panache Adelaide French Theatre.

Tess Fowler never seems to sleep. Having just released a full 8-track visual album under her soul folk duo Sitara with her sister Erin Fowler, Tess is now set to perform at the Cabaret Fringe Festival in her show Revelations Of An Angry Beast a blend of spoken word poetry, theatrical storytelling and full songs accompanied by a violin and piano.
It was evident throughout the show that Dempsey is genuinely grateful we still turn up in numbers to experience his music, mindful that this gig fell in competition to the Socceroos’ World Cup qualifier and a few other gigs around town. But when you get this kind of quality performance, you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
