ADELAIDE FRINGE REVIEW: HANSIF YOU DON’T LOVE MELEAVE!

There’s never a dull moment at one of Hans’ shows and this one is no exception: 22 Aussie classics in an all singing, all dancing, glitter coated hour of fun.

Paying tribute to the country that has claimed him as their own, Hans the Berlin Boy Wonder (AKA Matt Gilbertson) puts his special pseudo-German spin on some homegrown hits.

Armed with an accordion, a talented backing band (The Ungrateful Bastards) and two fabulously talented dancers (The Lucky Bitches), Hans takes us through the ages with a swag of songs, plenty of political satire and some very funny video.

Wearing spectacular costumes made by Gilbertson’s mum, Hans rocks out in a new direction creating some wonderfully catchy arrangements of much loved tunes that are certainly out of his normal repertoire, but that really work.

Giving you non-stop laughs and a stack of the songs you love played in a way you never thought you’d hear them, Hans is the perfect tour guide to your land down under.

If you don’t love him, leave. But you will love him, so settle in for a great night of Advancing Australia’s flair.
