In addition to announcing the biggest Stirling Fringe program yet, Bamboozled Productions is throwing a huge opening night party on Stirling Lawns for the evening of Friday February 22 – and it’s all free.
Boasting world-class entertainment, including circus acts, music performances, a fire show and late-night DJs, it’s the perfect way to begin ten days and nights of Fringe magic in this idyllic Adelaide Hills location.
Bamboozled Productions director Louise Clarke says: “We wanted to do something that would really mark the opening of this incredible event and set the tone for the next ten days, so we’ve planned a massive party in the Hills. We have international and Australian performers, great food and drink options and DJ sets until late in the evening – everything you need for a great party!”
Kicking off with happy hour at the boutique Stirling Fringe Bar between 5pm and 6pm, food and drink will be available throughout the night from a host of local trucks and stalls.
Stirling Fringe will then get officially underway at 6:15pm with a Greeting to Country from local indigenous dance and culture collective Yellaka.
The free entertainment that follows includes performances from the award-winning Fringe Wives Club at 7pm, the dance comedy of Irish internet sensations Lords of Strut after 8pm and the spectacle of the UK’s premier fire act Flame Oz from 9pm. Fringe-goers can then dance the night away as Lords of Strut return as DJs to take over the lawns. Roaming artists are also onsite, performing throughout the evening.
With 92 individual events across 52 different companies, Stirling Fringe offers a huge program of comedy, music, cabaret, magic and family entertainment, all nestled in a gorgeous Hills setting from February 22 to March 3. And there will be no better way to get this party started than this fantastic opening night extravaganza.
