The Adelaide Film Festival has programmed a weekend of screening films shot in South Australia to celebrate the re-opening of cinemas across the state.
The Reignite Cinema project will see films Escape from Pretoria and Never Too Late screened simultaneously at Palace Nova, GU Film House Glenelg and Wallis Cinemas.
Escape from Pretoria, starring Daniel Radcliffe, was filmed on location in Adelaide’s city and at the Glenside studios of the South Australian Film Corporation in 2019.
Never Too Late was also filmed on South Australian soil in 2019, a location close to producer Antony I. Ginnane’s heart after he first filmed in Adelaide in 1980.
The celebration comes at a time where South Australia has an opportunity to support their local artists now more than ever.
