NOMINATE THE NEXT AUSTRALIAN OF THE YEAR

The Australia Day Council of South Australia is calling for nominations for the 2022 Australian of the Year Awards.

If you know someone who’s made a significant contribution to the community, a quiet achiever, great community member, leader in their field of work, household names or an unknown hero, now you can give them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for the 2022 Australian of the Year Awards.

It only takes one nomination for someone to be considered for the Australian of the Year Awards, and your nominee(s) can be recognised in one of our four categories:

•   Australian of the Year: Celebrating the achievements and contributions of eminent Australians who are role models for us all.

•   Senior Australian of the Year: Recognising those Australians aged 65 and over who continue to achieve and make a difference.

•   Young Australian of the Year: Celebrating inspiring 16 to 30 year olds who have accomplished great things in all walks of life.

•   Australia’s Local Hero: Established in 1999, Australia’s Local Hero acknowledges people making a difference in their local community.

Nominating someone is easy to do – visit australianoftheyear.org.au by 31 July 2021 saying who they are, what they’ve achieved and why you’d like to see them recognised.

The website includes selection criteria and tips for nominating.
