9 to 5 the Musical set to work overtime in Adelaide

Dolly Parton’s hit West-End production, 9 to 5 the Musical won’t be clocking out of the Adelaide Festival Theatre so quickly, with new tickets available until November 5.

Due to popular demand, the musical based on the 1980 film of the same name, has extended its upcoming residency at the Adelaide Festival Theatre.

Set to the score created by American country queen Dolly Parton, the musical tells the story of three women who are at their wits end working in a toxic work culture and managed by their mean-spirited boss.

With the book written by the movie’s original screenwriter Patrica Resnick, 9 to 5 is a feel-good, mischievous show that is bound to have you gasping for air laughing.

Parton’s 9 to 5 the Musical is set to hit Adelaide in October following the production’s successful seasons in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Dolly Parton says she is thrilled the musical is heading to South Australia.

“I know the Australian fans will get a real kick out of this musical like people from other parts of the world have!” she says.

Producer John Frost for Crossroads Live Australia is pleased Australia has fallen in love with this hilarious and joyful show.

“With our incredibly talented cast, led by Marina, Casey, Erin, Caroline and Eddie, audiences are having a fantastic time and loving Dolly’s new songs. And now 9 to 5 is coming to my home town, Adelaide,” he says.

Tickets for performances up to November 5 are available now on the 9 to 5 the Musical’s website: https://9to5themusical.com.au/
