WOMADelaide 2023 is a little different. For the first time, the event has sold out for three of its four days – so things are a bit more intense than previous years. The popularity is due largely to this year’s excellent line-up, with Friday night an example of this.
Overall, as far as variety shows goes YUMMY ICONIC has it all (literally everything you can think of). I also think it’s incredibly important that we support our LGBTQI+ artists and queer spaces in which the artform of Drag can be celebrated (especially with what’s happening in the US at the moment).

Playing to a devoted audience, The Audreys Led by founding member and sultry songstress Taasha Coates delivered an enrapturing performance.
Stephen K Amos is forever a smooth operator navigating side-splitting “back and forth” working as an intergenerational translator!
It was a wonderful show to watch the audience as most drifted into meditative states, allowing the perfectly harmonious sound and the immersion of the 360 imagery that drifted between tense and calm.
