ADELAIDE FRINGE REVIEW: SCARRED FOR LIFE, THE LAB, 2018

I’m a total sucker for a love story and this one got me right in the feels.

Scarred for Life is emerging cabaret sensation Josh Belperio’s autobiographical account of an accident that changed his life.

Telling a story like this through an hour of song and monologue has the potential to become a bit self-indulgent, but Josh delivers the narrative with raw vulnerability and delightful humour, taking his willing audience on the journey with him, lamenting his low points and celebrating his highs.

I cried, I laughed, I cheered, and my heart almost exploded with joy when Josh spoke and sang with such fondness and appreciation of his partner (and producer) Matthew Briggs.

Josh is a star on the rise and Scarred for Life is the prelude to the incredibly successful career he has in front of him.
