Bombshell from director Jay Rouch, is a biographical drama following the story of the downfall of Fox News founder Roger Ailes after sexual allegations were filed against him. Whilst not the first on screen adaptation of this story, Bombshell puts its women to the front, driving the narrative and delving into the complexities of being a woman in a visual medium dominated by men where part of the job description is selling yourself and proving your loyalty to the man.

Every day, Bridgette would look out the window, waiting for her dad to come home. But he never did. She refused to accept that he was gone. For years, she waited by the window.
Chipped, white paint framed two open windows, which wore lace curtains that blew with the wind. Copper eaves seemed to hold up an attic, the feel of it making Bonnie feel uncomfortable, but what bugged her the most was the wide open door, which seemed to entice her to enter.
”When is Daddy coming home?” Madison asked her mum.
“I am sure he will be home very soon, darling,” she answered. But deep inside Madison’s mum was worried.
Eelane was once a rich and kind girl, but when her mistress started acting strangely, she got scared and ran away.
Ash waited, staring out of the window as she had done for the past five months. Would her parents ever come for her? Had they come for her and the pitchfork man scared them away?
Should she run or would Yallina yell at her? Sonya ran. She ran past Elli who raced as fast as her chubby legs could carry her (which was not very fast).
By The C, held at Glenelg Beach over the weekend, delivered some great summer sounds while heralding the homecoming of Adelaide ex-pats Cold Chisel and Paul Kelly alongside recent ARIA winners The Teskey Brothers with support from The Detonators and The Tim Prestwich Band.
