Elizabeth Davie is an excellent clown. Her alter-ego Lucretia is lovable, hilarious and utterly terrifying – in the best way.
As she joked when an audience member in the front row walked out, Lucretia is “not for everyone” but she was absolutely for me.
In a world filled with predators, the next evolutionary step is to hunt the hunters, which is where the Apex Predator comes in.
Lucretia preys on predators through mime, physical theatre, world class clowning and a bit of King Lear.
Apex Predator is brutally funny. It’s confronting and thought-provoking, and when you connect with the concept, you will get so much from it.
It’s dark, side splittingly funny and it filled my entire soul. This show is part of the soul of Fringe Festival.
This is striking and exceptional theatre, with a strong and important message.
