Today, Adelaide Fringe launches its inaugural donation day with all donations matched dollar for dollar!

The first ever Donation Day for Adelaide Fringe is today, Wednesday the 1st of March 2023 with all money raised going to the Adelaide Fringe Foundation.

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Adelaide Fringe, where every dollar raised goes towards helping artists to present their work, buy tickets for communities who experience disadvantage and to make Fringe experiences as welcoming and accessible as possible.

On Donation Day, the first $20,000 in donations will be matched dollar for dollar by Lumo Energy SA and Novatech Creative Event Technology.

Adelaide Fringe Director and CEO Heather Croall reckons this is the perfect way to keep our Fringe accessible, inclusive and wonderful.

“South Aussies love Adelaide Fringe and we have so many people that donate to the Adelaide Fringe Foundation because they are aware of the incredibly meaningful work we are able to do with these funds,” she says.

“Over the past five years, we have been able to allocate over 5,000 tickets to community groups, who experience disadvantage, to see shows at Fringe. I must also offer a massive thanks to our Donation Day matching partners Lumo Energy SA, and Novatech Creative Event Technology for their overwhelming support of the community.”

Those who would like to participate in Donation Day are able to donate either online via the Fringe website or by phoning our team, knowing that every dollar donated up to $20,000 will be matched, thanks to our matching partners on the day.

Adelaide Fringe has the goal of becoming the most inclusive festival in the world and the Adelaide Fringe Foundation is an important part of making that happen.

All funds raised go towards supporting venues and shows via accessibility initiatives, supporting community groups who may experience disadvantage to attend Fringe and allocate grants to diverse and emerging artists.
